As November and multitudes of US elections draw ever closer, we see political campaigns popping up everywhere. And each and every one of those is continually coming up with new and unique ways to get their message out there, make themselves known, and appeal to as many people as possible.
Bre Kidman of Maine is no different. Kidman is attempting to join the Senate by ousting current Republican Senator Susan Collins, who is up for re-election this year. If elected, “they” would be the first transgender member of Congress.
HuffPost reported last year, “Kidman, who prefers the pronouns they, them and their, has made history as the first openly non-binary person to run for Senate and, if elected, they would be the first openly transgender person to serve in Congress.”
As you can imagine by “their” very woke use of pronouns and claim to no gender, in particular, Kidman is a very left-leaning Democrat. Her Twitter profile shows her support for radical left-wing agenda ideas like Medicare for All as well as the infamous Green New Deal.
However, unlike most congressional and presidential candidates, her campaign is not necessarily one of love and inclusion. Instead, it seems to be quite violent and hateful.
On February 5, Kidman tweeted, “I was gonna wait until tomorrow to show off these beauties, but Trump got acquitted and I feel like folks could use something to look forward to.” as you can see by her post, “these beauties” refer to buttons, patches, tank tops and t-shirts all with the image of a guillotine.
You know, the medieval contraption used to chop off a person’s head using gravity.
Kidman calls them GuilloTees and uses them to incite a “revolution,” as she calls it.
Her post also notes, “More details on how to get your GuilloTee tomorrow. In the meantime, remember: there is not going to be a more convenient revolution.”
If your world history teacher did their job, you’ll remember that the guillotine was made famous during the French Revolution’s “Reign of Terror.” During this time period, the Committee for Public Safety and Maximilien Robespierre executed more than 16,000 people with this archaic but efficient device. Basically, anyone suspected of being against the beliefs of the “Revolution” was killed.
Kidman’s use of this imagery, as well as the word revolution, implies that anyone who comes against her or the greater left’s desire for revolution in our country should be executed in a similar fashion.
Now, in this day and age, it would be hard to imagine Kidman standing beside a real guillotine and ordering the deaths of anyone who dares to an opinion other than hers. However, the insinuation that bad things will or should happen to those against her is clearly present.
And in a time when Democrats and Republicans in this nation are already at each other’s throats, the results of her implications could be terrifying.
Already, there have been over 400 documented cases of politically motivated violence in the last month alone, according to Breitbart. These include things like driving a van through a voter registration tent in Florida, punching a man in the face for wearing a red hat, protesters shouting, “Slash Republicans’ throats,” and many more.
Where do you think these ideas come from? Who tells these people that it is ok to physically harm or threaten their fellow Americans because they may not like the same candidate or believe in the same ideals?
It’s people like Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who told the public, “If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them! And you tell them they are not welcome anymore anywhere.”
It’s those like Kathy Griffin, who is shown in a photo holding the bloodied head of President Trump. Or Madonna, who claims to have dreams of the White House blowing up. Or what about Bernie Sanders who allows his Bernie Bros to threaten and harass even other Democrats.
Bre Kidman just added “their” name to the list with this tyrannical and violence-filled post. It’s no wonder our nation is falling apart when our leaders, the ones who are supposed to be held to a higher standard and show us honesty and integrity, are inciting things like this.
