There has been a lot of discussion and accusations said against the President and the White House staff over the Russian involvement in the 2016 elections.
The nation is nearly three years removed from the issue and there is still much discussion and accusations flying around that the President is guilty of something but not one person can bring to light exactly what that something should be.
The problem is that there are two sides of the aisle that are interpreting data and reports two different ways.
On one side there are the Republicans that see innocence and the other side is filled with split Democrats that demand justice.
Robert Mueller has recently testified and reported for really the first time what exactly he found during the investigation.
The investigation dealt with the Russian involvement in the 2016 election and any obstruction of justice by President Trump. The President has written that, “The case is closed! Thank You.”
Believing that everything that was true about him has come to the surface.
Mueller reported, “if we had had confidence that the president clearly did not commit a crime, we would have said so.” This vague statement is what is fueling the questions from the opposition.
They believe that there is something that is being hidden, and they want to know, so they can impeach him and take power for themselves over the Executive Branch.
Sarah Sanders, who is the White House press secretary, said, “The report was clear — there was no collusion, no conspiracy — and the Department of Justice confirmed there was no obstruction. Special Counsel Mueller also stated that Attorney General [William] Barr acted in good faith in his handling of the report. After two years, the Special Counsel is moving on with his life, and everyone else should do the same.”
Nearly three years have passed and nothing has been found. It should ring a bell in every person’s ear that there is nothing to find and it is time to get on with improving this country.
The report showed that there was nothing found to show that the Trump campaign had done anything wrong. If anything, the report brought out that there was a lot of wrong doing on the side of the Democrats years earlier that needs to be investigated.
It is thought that Mueller did not want to make the determination that Trump was guilty of anything because it is the policy of the Justice Department to bring any accusation of a federal crime against a President serving in office. Mueller stated, “Charging the president with a crime was, therefore, not an option we could consider.”
Mueller plans on resigning and reentering the private sector of life.
Even is he forced to testify on the matter by the House, he will not provide any other data or reports that are found within the initial findings. This is a clear statement that he is done with the matter and ready to put it behind him.
The Democrats need to follow his lead and let the matter drop before they have to face an election year.
President Trump has written that, “Nothing changes. There was insufficient evidence and therefore, in our Country, a person is innocent.”
The opposition has already made it clear that they are not willing to let the matter drop since the ball is now in their court. They must decide what they are going to do.
After two full years Trump’s attorney, Rudy Giuliani, has stated, He had no evidence, or insufficient evidence, which is the same thing for a prosecutor, of collusion. And although he couldn’t reach a decision on obstruction, that’s a decision. When a prosecutor can’t reach a decision that’s a decision.”
It is time for the American people to let the Democrats know that they are tired of this head-hunting that they are doing. The people of this country need leaders that are in place looking out for the interests of the population and not head-hunting each other. 2020 will be a pivotal election year as America will once again declare with the power to vote which way they want their nation to go.
