The time has come to shut down a dead investigation and it is time to move forward with supporting the President and his policies to make this country great.
This past week took a turn for the better when Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell called for the close of the Russian investigation.
It is “case closed” for the investigation into the interference by Russia on behalf of the Trump campaign.
Mitch McConnell is a republican from Kentucky that stated he is going to call to, “finally end this ‘Groundhog Day’ spectacle, stop endlessly re-litigating a two-and-a-half-year-old election result, and move forward for the American people.”
How long can the opposing side beat a dead issue trying to prove something that never happened. If anything, they only seek to expose further their own party involvement years ago.
The speech that McConnell gave was on the shirt tails of the Democratic Party’s fight with the Attorney General Bill Barr.
The liberal left seems to trying to shift issues in an attempt to keep the investigation going.
McConnell is quoted as saying, “Many Americans were waiting to see how their elected officials would respond. With an exhaustive investigation complete, would the country finally unify to confront the real challenges before us? Would we finally be able to move on from partisan paralysis and breathless conspiracy theorizing? Or would we remain consumed by unhinged partisanship, and keep dividing ourselves to the point that Putin and his agents need only stand on the sidelines and watch as their job is done for them?”
The answer to this deep question has already been played out in the attempt of the Democratic House to find other issues with the Trump administration and even going after supporters of Trump trying to find some corruption and criminal activity that they can seek their teeth into.
McConnell even knows the answer when he said, “Regrettably, I think the answer is Obvious.”
The Mueller report was very clear that President Trump was in the clear.
There were no issues that needed further investigation.
But the Democratic Party was not satisfied with the findings so they are looking for something else.
McConnell stated about the Obama era that they let the Russians, “get away with almost anything.” The Mueller report brought this out as it investigated the issue.
If anything, it is time to start investigating the Democratic Party and their involvement with the Russians.
It is time to see if any of them stand guilty of such actions.
Sadly the Democrats are as McConnell has stated, “They seem to be angrier at Bill Barr for doing his job that they are at Vladimir Putin.” Barr made the report summary and declared with certainty that Trump and his administration were in the clear.
The Democrats are maintaining that Barr’s report does not accurately reflect what the Mueller report was trying to bring out.
They are certain that President Trump somehow is guilty of obstructing justice and they are willing to do anything to find the evidence.
Barr did hold a press conference prior to the Mueller report coming out where he explained all the reasons why he believed that there was no evidence worth pursing to try and prove the obstruction charge against Trump and his administration.
When a group of people only want to see what they want to have happen this is the kind of situation that can develop.
The question that remains that really needs to be answer is whether or not the country can united for its own good.
The longer people fight over issues that are not important at the moment, the worse they country is going to slide.
The President of the United States has already moved past the results of the report and Congress is trying to do the same. The Democratic Party wants to remain in the past and argue about things that are not even true.
As the 2020 elections come around it will only serve to hurt their attempt to put a Democratic president in the Oval Office.
For right now President Trump has returned to honoring his campaign promises and delivering what he promised almost three years ago.
