Flint Michigan and Coming Lawsuits?

Former President Obama is not looking well over the past few weeks.

The Mueller report gave some insights into things that he failed to do while in office and now a Judge has ruled that the citizens of Flint, MI can now sue the EPA over the failed attempts to help the people.

He failed to help and clean up what can be considered an emergency by town officials.

The drinking water had been contaminated and infested with lead. What is even worse is the fact that the former administration and the EPA tried to hush it into silence and tried to cover it all up.

Looking at the Judge’s Ruling

Linda Parker is the Federal Judge that passed the ruling that the EPA is to be held accountable by ruling that the citizens of Flint, MI had the right to sue.

The claim is that the Obama administration and the EPA waited way to long to do anything about the lead issue that was poisoning the water around the city.

They also claim that they were lied to in an attempt to cover up the issue.

There was changed in the way the water was treated and the people are claiming that the EPA should have done something about it.

They waited to long to help and now the water is poisoned. It is said that the contamination went on since 2014 as false reports were given as to the safety of the cities water supply.

If the EPA had been on top of doing their job, then there is a good chance that this entire situation could have been avoided.

Judge Parker stated, “These lies went on for months while the people of Flint continued to be poisoned.”

The people of Flint, MI complained repeatedly about the quality of the water once the change was made as to its treatment.

It was only after Virginia Tech University and Hurley Medical Center reported high levels of lead in blood samples from children and the water.

The court cases are mounting against state and local officials.

The appeals court has stated the city will have to face federal civil lawsuits. There is even a suit against Rick Snyder, who is the former governor of Michigan.

Judge Parker listened as plaintiffs made statements that the EPA did nothing with its power to take care of the health risks of the contaminated water.

Those on the other side of case state that the EPA should not be held accountable since private officials cannot be hold liable in the state of Michigan under state laws.

The lead issues will not go away any time soon.

It will take years to effectively treat the water so it is safe once again to drink. It has been stated that this could have been avoided had the EPA added the necessary chemicals into the water to erode out the lead contaminates.

But time had passed and nothing was done so the water ended up poisoned. When people are not willing to lead and govern in the way they are elected to do so things like this happen.

It appears that during the Obama administration the EPA had no oversight and was allowed to do whatever they wanted.

Even to the point of harming the economy and apparently the people of the United States.

No matter where this issue lands in the future the people of Flint, MI can now sue for damages. It will be interesting to see how many people will take advantage of this opportunity to be heard.

There might be a bigger issue here that is not coming out and that is the caring nature of the Democratic Party.

The question of do they really care about the people of this country?

Or, do they just want to use them in ways to gain power within the United States?

Answers to these questions may never be given. But one thing is for sure.

They had the chance to help the people and it took a long time for any action to be done.

  1. Of course it’s shameful, all #44 ever did was shameful and criminal.

  2. President Trump visited Flint before he was elected and donated $100, 000.00 to the clean up of the water. This will never be broadcast over deep state media. Obama seemed to ignore any decent peoples needs. He ignored Otto Warmbiers parents when they pleaded with him over their son.

  3. Normally, I would be the first to give Obama his comeuppance, but since when is a local problem brought on by themselves (for not adding a buffering to a known acidic water source). In short, why should my tax dollars be spent to fix a problem brought on by the absolute idiots in Flint, a local government that is far, far away from the land of NYS.
