There is no doubt that illegal immigration has been a problem for the last few decades.
The alarming rate has been overwhelming, and the reason behind it has been shocking.
As we go along, we find crime rate, drugs, sex trafficking, illegal voting, and many illegal activities have taken place.
Our federal funds have been pushed to the limits and spending for those who are not United States citizens, have almost run the government assistance programs broke.
In lower judicial courts the question has been put on the table if the question “Are you a U.S. citizen?” should be on the census survey.
The Liberals and the lower courts wanted to leave it off the form, but The Supreme Court is leaning in favor of giving President Trump the victory.
The whole idea of this plan implemented by the Trump administration is meant to deter illegal immigrants from filling out the form to get an accurate number of the number of people in the United States who are citizens.
The Liberals do not want this question in the census because it will mess up all their plans to pass their agendas and shove it down our throats.
The Supreme Court has a Conservative majority of 5-4, and many cases have been awarded in President Trump’s favor.
In 2018, they awarded him the travel ban from Muslim countries, and at the beginning of this year, Trump’s policy went into effect barring transgenders from joining the U.S Military.
Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch were appointed by the president and the pivotal vote, Chief Justice John Roberts are all in favor of the question on the census.
Kavanaugh stated, “It is a very common question internationally, and that federal law gives Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, whose department includes the Census Bureau, huge discretion in how the survey is conducted.”
During the 80 minutes of arguing, conservative justices were in favor of Trump’s administration while opponents argued it would be a large undercount and will scare Latinos and immigrants from filling the forms.
They would be too afraid of being picked up by law enforcement.
The Democrats feel it would cost them in electoral representation in federal aid and in Congress. They feel it would favor Republican parts of America over theirs.
This is exactly what will cost them the Supreme Court’s favor.
The census determines U.S. House of Representative seats and currently disburses $800 billion in funds from the federal government.
A verdict will be set for the end of June, and the question is expected to be on the next census and printed within the next few months.
It will give better information to enforce the Voting Rights Act. This act eliminates any form of discrimination against eligible voters.
Chief Justice John Roberts told General Barbra Underwood, a New York Solicitor, “The citizenship data is critical for enforcing the Voting Rights Act and said it was quite common for the census to capture demographic details.”
The last time the census had the question about citizenship was in 1950.
When Trump’s administration tried to bring it back, Manhattan U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman ruled on January 15th it violated the Administrative Procedure Act which is a federal law.
California and Maryland’s federal judges also would not allow the question to be asked.
This would leave about 6.5million people who would not fill out the census which averages 7 percent of the U.S. population.
During the arguments inside The Supreme Court, immigrant advocacy groups protested outside by holding signs which read, “No census without us” and “fair and accurate count for all.”
These were some of the arguments from the Liberals:
Liberal Justice Elena Kagan stated, “You can’t read the record without sensing that this need is a contrived one.”
Liberal Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the only Hispanic Justice stated, “”This is a solution in search of a problem, and there is “no doubt” the question will drive down the census response rate.”
The rebuttal from conservatives Justice Samuel Alito and Gorsuch was a simple one, “It’s not like this question is improper to ask.” and Francisco added, “It really does boil down to whether the secretary’s judgment here is a reasonable one.”
President Trump has placed all the right people in place to get the job done.
The President has pushed for all the proper laws to stop more illegal immigrants from voting and not only to put America back on top but to keep her there.
