Beto O’Rourke Takes A Swing at Trump, Fails Miserably

During his tenure at the White House, the left has labeled President Donald J. Trump a racist, a bigot, and a womanizer among other things. Now, former U.S. Congressman and 2020 presidential contender Robert Francis O’Rourke, Beto, Democrat – Texas, has likened the President to the Nazi “Third Reich.”

During a recent small group event, O’Rourke informed his audience that he was going to relay a story that occurred right after Trump became the 45th President of the U.S.

According to Breitbart, O’Rourke said, “Every year that I was in Congress we would go to a different elementary school around Valentines Day and pick up Valentines Day cards for veterans that were hand-drawn by a second grade or third grade classroom and then we would take them over to the VA. We want to make sure that those veterans understood the generation coming up cares for them and is grateful for what they’ve done for this country.”

The former Representative, who narrowly lost his U.S. Senate bid to Ted Cruz, Republican – Texas, in 2018, then communicated the words of a little girl. O’Rourke referred to the child as Mexican-American. The failed Senate candidate stated the little girl inquired why Trump doesn’t like her.

O’Rourke remarked that he asked himself, “What is that doing to her head and her conception of herself and what she’s able to contribute to this country when the President of the United States has called Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals?”

Referring to Trump, O’Rourke said, “He went on to call asylum seekers ‘animals’ and an ‘infestation.’” According to Breitbart, the President has referred to violent MS-13 gang members as “animals” in the past. Of course, Democrats ripped him for this classification.

Comparing Trump to Nazi Germany, the 2020 presidential candidate said, “Now we would not be surprised if in the Third Reich if other human beings were described as an infestation, as a cockroach, or a pest that you would want to kill, but to do that in 2017 or ’18 in the United States of America doesn’t make sense.”

Besides lambasting Trump at campaign events, O’Rourke is also taking aim at one of the President’s staunchest allies. During a recent campaign stop in Iowa, the former Representative condemned Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The 2020 presidential contender called Netanyahu a “racist” according to TheBlaze.

O’Rourke blasted Israel’s leader after a voter asked him about the continuing strife in the Middle East. Besides believing Netanyahu is racist, the former Representative feels Israel’s Prime Minister is an obstacle to relations between the United States and Israel.

O’Rourke remarked, “That relationship — if it is to be successful — must transcend partisanship in the United States, and it must be able to transcend a prime minister who is racist, as he warns about Arabs coming to the polls, who wants to defy and prospect for peace as he threatens to annex the West Bank, and who has sided with a far-right, racist party in order to maintain his hold on power.”

The 2020 presidential candidate also shared that he didn’t feel Israel’s Prime Minister “represents the true will of the Israeli people” or their interests in relations between the United States and Israel. Unsurprisingly, O’Rourke believes a two-state solution would foster peace between Israelis and Palestinians.

The failed Senate candidate stated, “We must be able to transcend [Netanyahu’s] current leadership to make sure that that alliance is strong, that we continue to push for and settle for nothing less than a two-state solution, because that is the best opportunity for peace for the people of Israel and the people of Palestine.” O’Rourke steadfastly maintained, “It is the best opportunity for the full human rights of everyone who is living in that region.”

The failed Senate candidate and his fellow 2020 Democratic hopefuls are pushing radical policy ideas. Some of the most liberal ones include abolishing ICE, tearing down existing border walls, Medicare for all, and reparations for slavery. Intriguingly, during his six-year tenure as a Representative, O’Rourke voted an astounding 167 times in opposition to the majority of his House Democrat comrades according to TheBlaze.

This statistic put the 2020 presidential candidate in the top 20 percent of all those in Congress voting against the majority of his or her party.  TheBlaze reported that O’Rourke even voted with the Trump administration roughly 30 percent of the time.

While he occasionally supported Trump’s initiatives in the past, O’Rourke apparently now thinks Trump should be lumped in with the treacherous “Third Reich.” Is O’Rourke a principled progressive or a chameleon who will change his views as often as the wind changes directions? Voters will soon get to decide who they think the real Beto is.
